Hi everyone! Beckett is still doing so well. The Drs. and nurses are very happy how well he is doing. He is a little puffy, but that was expected. His main focus is controlling his blood pressure. The nurse manger was telling us his body isn't used to this amazing cardiac output. Before surgery his vessels were real small because of the low cardiac output. Well now that he has normal cardiac output it takes awhile for the vessels to adjust. They are also working on his sedation. My sweet boy is so strong they cannot knock him out! His chest was left open (however it's covered by a dressing) because of the swelling from surgery. They are hoping to close that by tomorrow or Thursday and then they will start weaning him off the vent! His mechanical pumps are working great! Please keep praying that he stays on the right path and does not get any adverse effects from the Berlin. Earlier today his eyes were a tiny bit open and I leaned over to him and said I love you sooooo much and his eyes opened soooo wide! Then later on today he was sleeping so peacefully and my mom started to talk and he woke up immediately. Both times he woke up it caused his blood pressure to rise. Because he can't understand what's going on and for the fact that his room is still pretty intense, my mom and I have been hanging out in the waiting area and just going in to check on him. I cannot wait till I can hang out with my buddy again!
Today, I signed up with the gym that is associated with the hospital. I'm excited to start working out again. I then had to say bye to the hubs, which I really hate. But everyday is a day closer being back home with my family. We are still so grateful for all the mail, packages, drawings, pictures, gifts, food, texts, and calls from everyone! My boy is truly already a rockstar! The people of CHIVE reached out to Joe and started a fund for us. Here is the link

ReplyDeleteI am gathering some info for you from an APhi sister who has a friend who had a baby
With a similar condition at that facility. I told her you might need to talk to someone who could relate specifically as things progress and you see a plan developing.
I am sure the docs and hospital can recommend support groups but if we know someone who is an APHI or is an APhi connection, so mich the better, right?
Andrea Coffee Stewart is sending the info to me and when you are ready we will hook you up. She is also following your blogs and praying. Always in my heart...this makes my volunteer service come alive ... #teambeckett #goredforwomen
Correction: Andrea Coffey Stewart...message me for her contact info if you want to contact her before we get info to you. 💖
